Tournament Regulations

1.  All new junior golfers will begin in the "Open" flight or have special permission to enter into a higher level flight, determined solely by the Tournament Director (TD).  The next levels...1,2,3,4..may vary depending on the number of participants for that particular tournament.  These levels are based on the strength of the field and player ability (not age) and again are assigned/determined by the TD.  All players' scores for every tournament are kept by the TD.  Players will move up a level and possibly down a level as determined by the TD.

2.  In only the Open and Levels 1-4 flights will parents or any person be allowed on the course to assist players with scores and or other basic assistance (i.e. finding a lost ball/drop areas, etc.).  However, no coaching is allowed (i.e. what club to use, yardage determination, where to hit the ball, reading the green, with exceptions at the discretion of the TD).  Parents can assist in rulings if needed.  If not in agreement, the player must play two balls/scores and discuss the situation with the TD who will then make the official ruling.

3.  All players will maintain a scorecard for another player and themselves, (younger players just learning will be assisted by an  adult) no player is allowed to mark their own scorecard while playing or upon completion of the round.  Upon completion of the round, both players will bring the scorecards to the scorer and discuss disputes at that time.  Any player violating this rule will be given a warning, a second violation will result in the player being disqualified.  Repeat offenses will result in being expelled from the tour.

4.  Championship Level:  This is the top and most competitive level.  Only junior golfers who fully understand the USGA/Local Rules of Golf, are capable of keeping both their own and another players scorecard, and have the appropriate "On-Their-Own" playing ability (determined by the TD) will be invited to play at this level.

5.  For the Championship level, no parents are allowed to walk on the course at anytime beyond the First Tee and around the 9th or 18th Greens.  Also, no parents, adults, or anyone except the TD/ATD or their designee can be involved in adding, checking or touching scorecards at any time.  Any 'parent' who goes beyond these boundaries and/or not complying with these rules will be given one warning by the TD.  A second violation during the tournament will result in the player being disqualified for the tournament.  Repeat offenses will result in being expelled from the tour.

6.  All Championship level players are responsibile for their own scores and honoring of the USGA/Local Rules of Golf.  Any and all disputes will be decided by the TD/ATD.  At this level, only players can identify a rules infraction within their own playing group.

7.  All players in the Championship Level will normally be in the first groups to tee-off.

8.  All players at all times are expected to behave with respect towards each other.
